The lighting is excellent as are the shadows while you swing around New York City, but as for game models, the environments and such, not a lot of improvement to be honest. Well, to be honest, this game's graphics aren't a lot more impressive than Spider-Man 2's graphics back on the PS2. I picked this game up the day the movie was released. We finally have our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man on the Next-Generation. But from around $39.99 (normal game) or $49.99 (special edition) it is a good buy. If you pay $60.00 or more, you payed too much. I would reccomend you buy the special edition version, because you can play as the New Goblin after you beat him as Spider-Man. Some of the levels will have you chucking your dualshock controller on the floor, but the fun of some of the boss battles and the excitement of swinging around NY, above and below, outweighs it. Overall, Spider-Man 3 is a very solid, good, entertaining game. The normal Spider-Man is like a graceful martial arts master while the black suited Spider-Man has some of that agility, but packs punches like a heavy-weight champion. The ability to play as black-suited Spider-Man for a lot of the game is good. The movie storyline level boss fights are fun and very challenging. The game features the entire plot, made for the game except for a couple of levels and events just woven in to tie it into the movie. The final storyline, the movie story is probably the worst. The storylines are good, and some of the boss fights are some of the hardest levels in video gaming. You can fight Scorpion, Lizard, Kingpin, and others. The super villian storyline is good, featuring a lot of bosses. The gangs have fairly good storylines, except for one, and believe me, when you play it you'll know which one I'm talking about. The gang fighting is probably the easiest, but it has its challenges. The game features three different story lines, gang fighting, super villian fighting, and movie plot. The game delivers solid graphics, and exceptional realism in Spider-Man's attacks. Spider-Man 3 has very difficult missions. Spider-Man 2 had some good missions, some were challenging, but most were fairly easy. Also, this game gives fans the long awaited ability to swim! No more "Didn't think I'd get a shower way out here" lines.

Foiling the plans of bad guys can keep the public happy and provide gamers with lots of fans. Throughout the game players have the chance to stop crime by heading toward the highlighted areas found on the city map. Gamers once again don the red and black masks of Spider-Man and must face archenemies including the Green Goblin, Sandman, and Scorpion. Completing all paths unlocks content as part of the 100 percent completion bonus. Featuring ten plot threads, players may follow the quest provided from the film or create their own super hero story. Multiple storylines and adventures pulled both from the 2007 movie and original content offer Spider-Man 3 gamers several alternative journeys.
